Horses For Sale
At Stonewall Acres, we offer a quality selection of pleasure riding horses for sale at all times. Please check back often as we add and change this page as horses sell or become available for purchase.
These horses are professionally started and trained both on the ground and under saddle to be reliable and sensible out on the trails. Our horses are started off right, we won't tolerate any biting, kicking, or bad manners. They learn to clip, tie, lead, bathe, and load into the trailer. Then we spend the time in the saddle working them in as many situations as possible - riding alone as well as with others, crossing water, getting accustomed to traffic, jumping logs, traversing steep and slippery terrain, and experiencing different game species. Their gaits are fine tuned to make them smooth, easy to ride, and enjoyable.
What sets Stonewall Acres apart from other farms? We offer well bred, well trained horses almost all of which we have bred and/or raised. We know their complete history, know where they have been, and can attest to their health and care. Our horses are sound and healthy, and we welcome prospective buyers to obtain a pre-purchase exam if they so desire. Stonewall Acres isn't a resale farm, buying cheap and selling to unsuspecting buyers. Stonewall Acres values good customers who are looking to give our horses a permanent home. We price our horses fairly, based on their quality, pedigree, and experience, and will offer a discount on multiple horse purchases.
Do you need horse transportation? Please visit our Equine Transportation page for a list of reputable professional shippers.
To contact us regarding one of these fine horses please call Barn:(859) 234-0603 (days 8am-4pm EST) or Cell: (859)298-1807 (anytime).
To view some of the horses we have sold, please visit our Stonewall Graduates page! If you see something there you like, often we have another comparable horse available, just let us know.
**** VIDEOS: Videos will be added/updated as we are able to make them - Due to the fact that we are still on dial up internet, we have some difficulty up/downloading video, it can get a little grainy at times. We have found that if you minimize the video box (small screen) it seems to help the clarity. The video clips on this page should give you an idea about the horses, but if you would like to request a DVD, we'll be happy to mail one to you. The DVD's have complete clarity, just like normal television (because we don't have to send over internet lines).
We Thank each and every person who took the time to inquire about, come look at, and/or purchase one of our fine horses. We value your business and are happy to know that you will provide our "kids" with wonderful homes where they will be loved and appreciated! Thanks so much!!!!!

Ivory's Double D #20105060 PEDIGREE

This outstanding cremello stallion is regretfully being offered for sale.... Ivory's Double D is a solidly built, honest 16.1h, 8 year old, cremello stallion. He has been tested by the University of Kentucky to be homozygous for the cream gene - he will throw 100% palominos out of sorrel mares, and almost 100% buckskins out of bay mares, when bred to black mares he will sire predominantly buckskins and can potentially throw a smoky black. To date he has sires all buckskins out of black & bay mares, and these foals have had no leg markings (one had a star)... for those of you who like a "true" solid buckskin! Double D is extremely gentle natured - you'd swear you have another gelding in the barn! He is gentle & sweet, you can even let the kids climb on him and pet him. He is also this way with his "ladies" - he prefers to "wine & dine" them than "wham, bam, thank you ma'am" Double D is also well broke to ride with a good consistent smooth running walk. You can ride him one day & breed him the next. There are alot of breeders out there that just focus on color and not on quality - Double D is an outstanding individual with an excellent pedigree filled with many World Champions as well as color producers, his color is just icing on the cake! Unfortuantely, Double D's owner is being transferred to another state and can not take him along. This exceptional stallion is reasonably priced at $7500. We will continue to offer his services at stud until he is sold....

.... You can always geld a nice stallion! A good stallion makes a great gelding!!! Please see our stallions listed above.
We will happily schedule to have a horse gelded once he has been purchased (gelding at the new owners expense), and provide after care (free of charge) until he is healed and ready to go home.
"Dollar's Perfectionist" VIDEO 1 (gait) (barefoot shod) VIDEO 2 (mounting)

"Red" is a 2 year old registered TWH, 15.1+h, copper chestnut gelding. He has been professionally started under saddle and is good natured and easy to handle. He is gentle to ride with a great 100% natural smooth saddle gait barefoot, ideal for comfort on the longest trails. He is still a little on the green side, but has never offered to do anything bad or crazy. We trail ride him almost every day and he is laid back, never spooks, and will go where he is asked. He rides out alone or with others. He is willing to try to do anything that is asked of him with a positive attitude. Red is suitable for an advanced beginner rider and will definitely be the kind of horse that will be beginner safe with a few more miles. He has good solid feet and can be ridden barefoot or with just a keg shoe. He has a classy way of going, with a good stride behind, a cute head nod, he can cover some ground with out being hot or fast. Red is a good sized horse, already almost 15.2 and still has plenty of growing to do, he should mature right about 16h. Red is offered at $1700 OBO
"Red" will be going home to West Liberty for the winter. He is still available for purchase and will be returning in the spring if not sold.
"Hershey"

Hershey is a 15.3h, 13 year old, red chestnut, registered KMSH/United Mountain Pleasure gelding. This "honest abe" has taught a whole family of children & beginners to ride, show, & trail ride. He is calm natured, bombproof, and patient. Hershey has a smooth 4-beat gait no matter who is riding him - no pace. He will walk quietly until asked to do something different, and tolerate children running wild all around him. He has been trail ridden extensively in the mountains of eastern KY, bombproof and safe. Hershey has been a babysitter, children as young as 3 and 4 have learned to ride on him and they have been showing him at age 7. He has been show in country pleasure classes and will carry his rider competently. He has always been ridden either barefoot or keg shod, good solid feet, easy to handle for the farrier. He stands quietly tied or crossties for grooming, tacking, clipping, bathing. Loads & hauls by himself or with others, doesn't care if you take the others away. He will ride out alone confidently and with no questions, or go out with others. Due to a family tragedy and the children losing interest, he isn't getting the attention he deserves and is regretfully offered for sale. The kids don't have their uncle and granny to "play horses" with anymore. Because of this he has also been pastured on a dry lot and has lost a little weight, he could stand to gain 100 lbs.... if you can see past the outside, this is an outstanding horse that will be absolutely gorgeous with a little grain. If you want something safe, sound, and reliable for a great price... Hershey is your man. Offered for $1100.
ON DEPOSIT!!! Hershey has been placed on Deposit and is awaiting transportation!!! Thanks & Congratulations!!

*** Due to Mr. Jackson's health & age, he has decided to "retire" many of our broodmares and offer them for sale This has been a difficult decision and we are devastated to have to part with many of our "ladies", most of which were bred & raised here and have lived here for many, many years. We regretfully are offering many of our top quality broodmares, and top producers for sale. As many of them have spent some time being "mommies", we are working them under saddle to get them back in shape for riding or for use as a broodmare. All of our mares already have previous show ring and/or trail experience and are well broke to ride. Some are in foal, and we have purposefully left several open/not bred so that they can be used as either a riding horse or broodmare at their new owner's discretion.

colt by WC Titleist
This attractive black roan mare, 8 years old, 15.1h, has the best of both worlds - Generator and Pusher bloodlines. She has produced beautiful foals successful in the show ring and also on the trails. Additionally, Santana comes from a long line of show horse producing mares. Santana was a talented show prospect but was chosen to replace her dam (due to her untimely passing) in our broodmare herd. Santana is also well broke to ride under saddle and would be suitable for an advanced beginner or better rider. We have ridden her on the trails and she is sane and sensible, not spooky, she handles trail situations with ease, safe around heavy traffic, wild game, crosses logs, ditches, water, etc. Her primary job has been as a broodmare for the past few years but we have been riding her regularly this summer and fall. She doesn't have to be ridden regularly, she'll be fine if you ride every day or once a month. Santana is gentle to handle, easy to catch in the pasture, and personable. She stands quietly for grooming, tacking, clipping, bathing, vet & farrier procedures, etc. She is a good mother, easy breeder, easy foaler with plenty of milk . She has top notch bloodline, she has many WGC and WC's on her pedigree. Santana foaled a stud colt by WC The Titleist in April 2008. She is in foal to WC Our American Eagle (2007 TWHBEA Sire of the Year) for an April 2009 foal. We regretfully offer her for sale as the farm owner is 82 and is reducing her due to age, health and finances. We bred & raised this mare and can attest to her health & care, UTD on vaccinations, worming, shoeing, teeth floating. She is 100% health, sound, & natural, never mistreated or abused and has always had excellent feed and health care. Priced at $2250 IN FOAL. To view her Pedigree
Stars In My Eyes #20015310 (WGC Gen's Armed & Dangerous x Star's Final Lady) PEDIGREE

Stars is a 16h, long necked, short backed, loose moving, black, 8 year old mare by WGC Gen's Armed & Dangerous and out of our mare Star's Final Lady (by WGC Pride's Jubilee Star) Stars was started in training and showed enormous talent until an cosmetic injury ended her show career; an allergy to liniment caused her to have some patches of hair loss. However, it all eventually grew back (as you can see in the pictures) and she would definitely be suitable to show or trail ride. She is broke to ride and could also be used as a riding mare. Because of her talent and breeding, we had chosen to keep her for our broodmare band. She is a lovable mare who would climb in your pocket if she thought she could! Stars has top of the line bloodlines including many WGC's like Armed & Dangerous, Jubilee Star, Sun's Delight D, Ebony Masterpiece, and Midnight Sun, as well WC Ebony Threat. Stars foaled a filly by Sun's Choice Pride in late October '07, who possesses her momma's long legs and neck. She is back In Foal to Irish American for a March 2009 foal. $2600 IN FOAL
Gen's Shogun #963342 (WGC Gen's Armed & Dangerous x Ebony's Shogun - line bred Ebony Masterpiece) VIDEO 1 (just off maternity leave!)

Shogun is a 15.2h, black, 12 year old mare who main purpose in life is to be your best buddy. She loves people, always the first one to come to you in the pasture, she loves snuggles & kisses. Shogun is gentle natured, easy to handle, never questioning her rider. She would be suitable for a beginner rider as she will happily walk along quietly all day on a loose rein. She has perfect ground manners, will stand quietly in the crossties, loves to be groomed, clips, bathes, etc. Shogun is a former show mare and has also proven herself reliable out on the trails. She is quiet, laid back, and easy going... not at all spooky. Safe around heavy traffic, roads, dogs, and handles trail situations with ease. She has a good easy slow gait and will only step into it when asked (right now she "waddles" a little bit when stepped up fast, she still has some "baby weight") She has been loaded & hauled countless times and is quiet & steady in the trailer. Shogun has been an excellent mother, good milker, easy foaler, easy keeper. Her foals have all had her gentle temperament, friendly nature, and good conformation. We have decided not to re-breed her so that she can be used as a riding mare or breed her to the stallion of your choice. Shogun possesses some top bloodlines like Gen's Armed & Dangerous, Pride's Generator, Ebony Masterpiece, Merry Go Boy and Go Boy's Shadow. She has a high proportion of great older bloodlines not seen so much anymore. Shogun is offered for $2200
These are just some of the weanlings & yearlings we

The Star's Choice #20704192

The Star's Choice is a long legged, long necked filly by our stallion Sun's Choice Pride and is a first foal out of Star's In My Eyes (Gen's A&D) - foaled October 20, 2007. She is a very good moving filly with a friendly nature, likes people. This filly should mature 16h or better as her dam is over 16h, and sire is 15.3+ and consistently throws 16+ hand foals. KEEPs nominated - let her earn money for you! $600 firm or will package with Mystic Crystal (below) for $1000 for the pair.
Mystic Crystal #20704187

Mystic Crystal is a pretty black filly foaled October 6, 2007 by our stallion Pusher's Crystal and out of a direct Pride's Generator mare. She also has Carbon Copy, Sun Delight D and Go Boy's Shadow close up on her papers. This filly has a nice way of going and will have good walk & shake. She will probably mature about 15-15.1h as her sire & dam are both that height. and will have that great old time, short coupled, upheaded build. KEEPs nominated - let her earn money for you! $600 firm (or will package with The Star's Choice (above) for $1000 for the pair)
Mr. Magical #20800044
(he's a little bigger now - haven't gotten a new pic
yet!)
Mr. Magical is a gorgeous mahogany bay stud colt foaled 4/13/08 by WC Generator's Man of Magic and out of a former show mare by Dumas Walker, his granddam was also a former top show mare in TN by Pusher's Doing Time. He comes from a long line of successful show horses and his dam has produced show horses, her first foal selling for $65K. He is a good moving, proud looking colt. He should mature to be a good, big, stout colt based on his parents who were both over 15.2 barefoot. This is a great opportunity to get a quality colt at a very reasonable price. KEEPs nominated. Asking $1200.

Mind Game's Tricks #20611482
''Mindy'' is a 14.3hh, liver chestnut, 2 year old mare. She has been consistently ridden since she was 17 months old. Mindy was born, raised, and trained on our farm by us. Mindy has ridden many miles on our farm/trails and has been trailered to other places and ridden. She is easy to ride. She has however conquered many obstacles effortlessly on the trails including; long trail rides, wide open fields, logs, water, riding on the road where traffic is passing, dogs, chainsaws, four-wheelers, etc. Mindy is not spooky in the least. She stands well for the farrier, is UTD on all shots/worming, bathes well, loads/unloads well, tacks standing still, and the rider can mount and dismount with ease. Mindy's only vice is clipping her with electric clippers. We are currently working on her with this and she is getting better. Mindy wants to pull back in the crossties when clipping and does not (at the moment) stand well for clipping. Mindy is a smooth going horse with good motor. She has been ridden by riders of all experience levels and has treated her riders well and shown them a good time on the trails. Mindy has been ridden alone on the trails as well as in a large group. She does not mind where she is in the order in the line of riders. We are lowering prices on almost all of our horses for sale for the winter months so don't miss out on this limited price offer. Serious inquiries only. Video not yet available but can be created at the inquirers request. VHS and DVD only, we do not yet have the ability to send video clips via email. Additional photos can be sent via email by request. Mindy is offered to you at the price of $1200 FIRM.
