Horses For Sale
At Stonewall Acres, we offer a quality selection of pleasure riding and show horses for sale at all times. Please check back often as we add and change this page as horses sell or become available for purchase.
Our Pleasure horses are professionally started and trained both on the ground and under saddle to be reliable and sensible out on the trails. Our horses are started off right, we won't tolerate any biting, kicking, or bad manners. They learn to clip, tie, lead, bathe, and load into the trailer. Then we spend the time in the saddle working them in as many situations as possible - riding alone as well as with others, crossing water, getting accustomed to traffic, jumping logs, traversing steep and slippery terrain, and experiencing different game species. Their gaits are fine tuned to make them smooth, easy to ride, and enjoyable.
What sets Stonewall Acres apart from other farms? We offer well bred, well trained horses almost all of which we have bred and/or raised. We know their complete history, know where they have been, and can attest to their health and care. Our horses are sound and healthy, and we welcome prospective buyers to obtain a pre-purchase exam if they so desire. Stonewall Acres isn't a resale farm, buying cheap and selling to unsuspecting buyers. Stonewall Acres values good customers who are looking to give our horses a permanent home. We price our horses fairly, based on their quality, pedigree, and experience, and will offer a discount on multiple horse purchases.
Do you need horse transportation? Please visit our Equine Transportation page for a list of reputable professional shippers.
To contact us regarding one of these fine horses please call (270)792-6674 anytime.
To view some of the horses we have sold, please visit our Stonewall Graduates page! If you see something there you like, often we have another comparable horse available, just let us know.
**** VIDEOS: Videos will be added/updated as we are able to make them - Due to the fact that we are still on dial up internet, we have some difficulty up/downloading video, it can get a little grainy at times. We have found that if you minimize the video box (small screen) it seems to help the clarity. The video clips on this page should give you an idea about the horses, but if you would like to request a DVD, we'll be happy to mail one to you. The DVD's have complete clarity, just like normal television (because we don't have to send over internet lines).
We Thank each and every person who took the time to inquire about, come look at, and/or purchase one of our fine horses. We value your business and are happy to know that you will provide our "kids" with wonderful homes where they will be loved and appreciated! Thanks so much!!!!!

Brassy Sky

B
rassy Sky is a 4 year old, gorgeous chestnut gelding by the great show horse The Skywatch. He is a solidly built 15.3 1/2h horse capable of carrying a very large or heavy rider. He has an excellent very smooth gait, consistent and easy to ride. He is responsive and halts on voice command and moves out with a simple cluck or light leg squeeze. Brassy is 3 gaited and will pick up either canter lead when asked. He has had trail experience and has been ridden on field trials. Brassy has been taken on some of the roughest trails in Eastern KY and navigated tough terrain easily, taking care of his rider. I even let my friend's pre-teen daughter ride him up and down the mountains, definitely suitable for a novice rider. He is very easy to ride, doesn't take much rein. Brassy carries he head primped and tucked the way a Walking Horse should - he will definitely get you noticed! A very nice horse, easy keeper, UTD on vaccinations, worming, coggins, etc. $3000VIDEO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMPcDIHDXuM
Eagle's Talon

"Rusty" is a 15.2 1/2h, 2 year old sorrel gelding. He is by THWBEA Sire of the Year WC Our American Eagle and out of a Back In Command mare. Rusty is going to a big boy... he's already over 15.2 and should mature close to 16h if not taller. He has a great stylish way of going with his head up and looking through the bridle and a smooth deep walking gait. He is keg shod and smooth whether he is slow or fast. Rusty is easy in the mouth and rides on a light rein, stops easily, and doesn't pull on his rider. He has a great mind and isn't spooky. He does have a cocky/snorty way of going but is completely under control. Rusty has been out on the trails this summer and most recently spent 4th of July Weekend logging many, many hours (and miles!) on the trails in Eastern KY. We have had to navigate places no horse should have to go, climb rock bluffs, steep slippery terrain, thick woods, up and down the sides of mountains, and crossing creeks. He proved himself to be a reliable mouth that never offered to spook the first time. I wouldn't hesitate to put an inexperienced rider on him, he'll be trustworthy on the trails. Rusty has good manners and will stand well in the crossties for grooming and tacking, stands well for mounting, bathes, etc. He has always been in the best of health, UTD on all vaccinations and worming, and has always had the best care and nutrition. This gorgeous gelding is offered for $1250 obo

Palin On Parole #20824225 (WGC Out On Parole x Gen's Spiderwoman) ON DEPOSIT!!!

she could care less about the kids jumping and splashing around her....
"Scarlett" is a 15.2+h (and growing!) gorgeous liver chestnut, 2 year old filly. If you like one that will climb in your back pocket and be your best friend, Scarlett is the one for you... she LOVES people, attention, and can't seem to get enough. She will come RUNNING from anywhere in a 100 acre field when you call. She has a great smooth head shaking, walking gait barefoot - she doesn't need any special shoeing or gimmicks to make her walk. She is gentle natured with a great attitude and willing disposition. Scarlett has been trail ridden alone and with other horses equally successfully. She will go in the front, back, middle, and never care. She crosses water (heck, you can't hardly get her out of the creeks!) navigates steep and rough terrain well, is calm & safe around traffic, doesn't mind children, dogs, or commotion running around her. Scarlett is not spooky and handles new situations with a level head. She would be ideal for an advanced beginner as she is easy to handle, groom, tack, clip, load & haul, bathe, mount, ride, etc... good brakes, will walk quietly or step up into a running walk with a cluck or a light squeeze. Scarlett is a very well bred filly, great potential for a future broodmare. She is by WGC Out On Parole and out of a top show mare Gen's Spiderwoman. Spiderwoman is by WGC Gen's Armed & Dangerous and out of one of our (now deceased) broodmares Webbette who was by WGC Delight of Pride. This delightful filly is offered for $2200 (the stud fee on OOPs is more than her asking price!)

Purple Haze #207041290

"Jewel" is a 15.2h, black roan coming 3 year old mare with plenty of chrome. This eyecatching mare is one to get you noticed, and who doesn't love a lit up horse? Jewel is well mannered, easy to handle, load, haul, clip, bathe, stands well for mounting/dismounting, and is well broke. She spent all last year trail riding with a local saddle club on 15-20 mile rides over varied terrain at least twice a week. She has been ridden with traffic, in the woods, open fields, and state parks around KY. Jewel isn't at all spooky, will ride out alone or with others, even in very large groups she doesn't get worked up and will ride where you put her. Jewel crosses deep creeks, navigates rough and steep terrain, and doesn't mind wild game jumping up or dogs running under foot. She has a true walking gait with a good head shake and long walking back end. She is definitely show quality as well as trail broke. This fine mare would also make a nice future broodmare. Her sire is top stallion WC The Stonecutter and she is out of a former Armed & Dangerous show mare, 2nd dam line bred Ebony Masterpiece. If you want to get noticed, Jewel will make your friends jealous. Jewel is offered at $2600.
