Broodmares

        We have bred and acquired some of the top broodmares in the industry.  Our mares are selected for their outstanding pedigrees as well as their gait quality, temperament, and conformation. 

   At Stonewall Acres, we feel that the mare provides a greater contribution to the quality and well being of the foal than the sire.  Rarely can a stallion compensate for a poor mare; however, an outstanding mare can assist a less than perfect stallion.  Additionally, mares raise and nurture the foals, giving them the foundations for behavior and disposition. 

     Thank You to all of our customers who have purchased horses from us over the years.  We have now sold all of Mr. Jackson's "ladies" and are so proud that our girls will be continuing our legacy in their new homes.  We are confident that they will be an asset to any breeding program.

Visit our broodmare pages to meet some of our fine ladies that helped build the Stonewall Acres breeding program!!!  Due to Mr. Jackson's health, we have dispersed of his mares, they will be continuing their legacy in other successful breeding programs.  However, Melanie has purchased and retained a select handful of mares to carry on the Stonewall tradition.   We feel genuinely blessed and appreciative to have this opportunity to build on such a successful breeding program.
